what is hope to you.

many of slum children cry when they have nothing to eat and only water to drink.their have searched for hope from east to west but settled at south because there is no where to call home.no one can run away from poverty because its a way of a lifestyle.
they try to work hard as possible but their are still stuck and most of them stopped schooling and strive for their young onces to get food and shelter.
but you know its painful when a 16years old girl is working everyday to earn a salary of a onehundred which is for food i.e only supper and their call it a day.
most of them do prostitution and end up killed or some die in in the process.i don't think hope is there when you see a innocent blood being shade away and gun shots hard with no good reason.if one could depend on hope then i could count on one but life in slums is all about hustling and struggling.

Reasons for formation of YK4C

in 2007 many people died due to the post election violence. which made many people to create enemies among each other. it was very painful seeing a policeman killing a young kid, while women were raped and killed in the process. many people became hopeless while others were being taken away from their own homes.we decided to form this group so that people could see kibera in a different way because most of the violence took  place in kibera where by they uprooted the rail way line and burned many houses leaving many people homeless and taking their belongings.due to this many people see kibera as a place of war and that's why we started this group so that people can see it like a place of peace and not war.
